It started with the idea to explore shape solely through pattern, by removing shadow. Only leaving the black colour in the pattern, the shape of this crumpled piece of fabric is clearly understood.

We were intrigued to see how it is possible to distinguish the different qualities of the fabric. This print was developed using a light cotton jersey, while our 'Canvas' print shows a heavy cotton canvas
